Visual Artist | Writer | Gardener
I’m an artist, writer, and gardener who sees creativity and connection to the earth as essential pathways to healing and self-discovery. My art is deeply personal, inspired by my journey of processing emotions and thoughts, while gardening offers me a grounding and restorative balance. I believe self-reclamation is a powerful catalyst for growth, healing, and renewal. Through these practices, I hope to create spaces where others can find meaning, resonance, and connection. Welcome to this space of creativity, healing, and connection.
Listen to the wisdom of your heart. It will show you the way.

Journey within and discover new worlds.
I am a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans
photography, painting, mixed media collage, digital art, and
jewelry design. With over 30 years of creative experience, I
bring a unique perspective to my art, weaving together
vibrant visuals and compelling narratives.
My artistic journey is an intuitive exploration of
transformation, encompassing a variety of mediums and
techniques. Each piece begins as a seed of curiosity, which I
nurture and develop through an immersive creative process.
As I dive deeper into each work, I allow stories to emerge—
narratives that resonate with both personal experience and
universal themes.
For me, art-making is a conduit for pulling ideas from the
intangible and giving them physical form. I find inspiration in
the interplay of contrasts, exploring the dance of the spaces
between light and shadow, color and neutrality, softness
and strength. In these juxtapositions, I uncover beauty and
meaning, inviting the viewer to explore these liminal spaces
alongside me.
Through my art, I aim to inspire curiosity, reflection, and
wonder. By questioning the narratives of shame we often
internalize and exploring the depths of our beliefs, I hope to
promote a journey of self-discovery and healing. In doing so,
I seek to champion messages of self-acceptance, love, and
the celebration of each person's unique wisdom and beauty.
Ultimately, I strive to create work that fosters a deeper
understanding of our shared human experience,
encouraging empathy and compassion in the process.
Deeply rooted in North Idaho, where my family has lived for
three generations, I draw much of my inspiration from the
natural world and my personal experiences. When not
creating, I find balance through gardening, exploring
herbalism, hiking, and spending time with loved ones.
Through my art, I seek to foster connection, evoke emotion,
and invite viewers into moments of reflection and discovery.

Award winning short film, The Journey, is a visual chronicle spanning
from 2018 to 2023, capturing moments in the Pacific Northwest on
the Oregon Coast, within my family's wooded sanctuary, and amid
the flourishing life of my garden and yard. Initially, these vignettes
were spontaneous captures, fragments of time that resonated with
personal significance.
As I revisit and compile these clips in 2023, a narrative unfolds—
unplanned yet deeply profound. The Journey now encapsulates my
voyage of healing, a tapestry woven from nature's wisdom and the
evolution of my own understanding. Each frame is a testament to
the therapeutic dialogue between myself and the natural world, a
silent exchange that has been both witness and catalyst to
transformation.
The deliberate choice of a square format for "The Journey" serves as
a visual metaphor, providing a unique perspective on the narrative
within. Unlike traditional rectangular frames, the square format
invites a focused and intimate viewing experience, directing
attention to the essence of each moment captured. The square,
inherently balanced and symmetrical, acts as a harmonious
container for the diverse snippets of nature's wisdom and personal
reflections.
In this video, I invite the viewer to traverse landscapes that mirror
my own inner terrain, witness the dance of woodland giants, and
listen to the whispers carried by the wind. The Journey is a mosaic of
moments, a visual poem documenting the beauty found in
simplicity, the therapeutic balm of nature, and the ever-unfolding
path of self-discovery.
I am truly honored that 'The Journey' was recognized with an award
at the 4th Annual Visions of Self International Art Show for Women.
To have my work acknowledged in such a remarkable showcase of
female artists from around the world is a humbling and inspiring
experience. This acknowledgment not only celebrates the personal
journey I've shared through my art but also serves as a reminder of
the transformative power of self-expression and creative
storytelling.

The Journey
The Journey: Pathways of Healing and Self-Discovery
Deep Breath. Standing in the storm... Questioning. Longing. Seeking. The journey begins. The moon above lights my way in each phase of my journey. The Earth below gently supports my every step along the path. Water flowing. Hope growing. Listening with each step. Embers hold the promise of a blazing fire coming to life. The woodland giants dance. The wind chants. Upon the wind came an answer. Beauty and magic, are born in secret places... Look within. Find the light in the dark. Dance the shadowdance. Be open to wonder. Watch the clouds tell their stories. Listen to the rain dance. Nourish and nurture mind, body, and spirit. See with a new perspective. Cultivate ease and flow. Kindle your passions. Breathe. Make a wish. Talk to the bees. Cleanse toxic energies. Spend time with trees. Be gentle with your self. Connect with nature. With each step, ...journey within... and discover new worlds. Rest and wait... for the promise of Spring returning. Plant the seeds of transformation. Love. Embrace Joy. Be flexible along the way. Protect your energy. Release to make room for growth. Emotions flow, grounded below. Life goes by so quickly... Slow down. Embrace your magic. Be bravely you. You are enough. Welcome Home. The End. In every ending, a new beginning awaits.

Future plans
I am always dreaming up new ways to share my work with the world, and I’m excited about what lies ahead. While I’m not currently offering online classes or commissions, I’m exploring these possibilities for the future. I’ve taught classes and offered custom work in the past, and I hope to bring these opportunities back in new and inspiring ways.
I’m also considering new ways to connect with you beyond digital spaces. Whether it’s physical newsletters, monthly subscription packets of printed materials, or curated boxes of tangible creations, I’m inspired by the idea of sharing my work in a more personal, hands-on way. So many ideas are swirling around in my creative mind, but no decisions have been made at this point. This is a new adventure for me, and I’m enjoying giving these ideas the time and space they need to percolate.
In addition, I’m exploring opportunities to showcase my work in galleries, shops, and publications. If you’re interested in collaborating with me or featuring my work, I’d love to hear from you. Please feel free to reach out via email or physical mail.
If you’re as curious as I am about what’s next, I encourage you to sign up for my e-mail newsletter. It’s the best way to stay updated on new offerings, announcements, and my creative journey as it unfolds.

I hope to continue sharing pieces of my world that encourage connection, transformation, and the magic of self-discovery.
A Glimpse Into What’s Next: Exploring Connections
Beyond the Digital
The liminal canvas
The Liminal Canvas embodies the concept of art and healing as a shared journey through
life's in-between spaces. A blank canvas, similar to the transitional moments we all
experience, represents a realm of potential—an open space where nothing is fully formed,
yet everything is possible.
In this space, art becomes more than mere creation; it is an act of transformation. It allows
us to turn the intangible into something we can see, touch, and feel, helping us make sense
of contrasts and complexities. The Liminal Canvas serves as a metaphor for life itself—a
space where we are invited to explore, experiment, and express ourselves without the
need for everything to be resolved or complete.
Here, art acts as a mirror for our own journeys. Each piece invites reflection, offering a way
to engage with our own shadows and light, and to navigate our struggles and resilience.
Healing, much like art, is not a linear path; it involves layering emotions, experiences, and
insights—building over time, one layer at a time.
For those who enter this space, The Liminal Canvas provides an opportunity to view their
lives as a creative process. It serves as a reminder that growth often occurs in the spaces
between—those moments of uncertainty and transition. Whether navigating personal
challenges, exploring creative expression, or simply seeking a moment of peace, this space
offers a sense of possibility and resonance.
The canvas stands as a universal symbol—open, adaptable, and endlessly relatable. It offers
space for exploration, expression, and healing without the constraints of predefined
outcomes. Here, we are invited to journey inward, awakening our authentic voice through
the creative process.
